UI/UX Study - Transit App (2020)
This personal project was a study on the UX process of a human centered design approach.

The process started by interviewing 3 people that use public transit on a regular basis and 2 individuals that rarely did but wished they would use it more often. The interviews took about 30 - 60 minutes each, mostly done through video calls, exploring their thoughts and stories on public transit.

The interviews transcripts were then layered into an Affinity Diagram. This procedure led to the creation of the current, human centered, Problem Statement and Persona.

Problem Space
"Alex, a multitasking nurse, needs to confidently understand and choose the quickest route to spend more time resting after a long day of work."

In Vancouver, there are multiple transit systems working together; bus, train, skytrain, seabus and ferry. While the user wants to use the reasonably priced services the city provides, managing your route with all the options to consider can be a frustrating task. Specially when you factor in wait time between stations, multiple route options, construction zones and the often rainy and chilly weather.

The app development continued with similar apps research before simulating a User Experience Map.
Once the sketches on paper for the low fidelity wireframes started taking place, the user flow started to shift and gain more complexity.

After further user tests the app developed a medium-fidelity wireframe and prototype; multiple iterations occurred until it arrived at it's current form.
